First issued: 30th April 2013
Membership renewals
Our annual report and membership renewal reminders are in the process of being posted out to you. Some may have received them already. Within the packs you’ll find our programme of events that will take us up to the summer. We have a variety of events coming up that we hope will appeal to all of you.
We are always on the look out for new tours, places to visit or different angles to approach Gibraltar’s heritage from so if you have any suggestions or requests for tours we will to our best to include them.
Our mail out has been delayed for a number of reasons beyond our control and it means that there is short notice on a couple of events. Please accept our sincere apologies for this. We will endeavour to improve on this in future mail outs.
Your membership is important to us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Southport Gates and St Jago’s Arch
Having had a good stretch of dry weather, we are told that works will be starting imminently on the repair of the walls at Southport Gates and the restoration of St. Jago’s Arch.

The repair of the arch in particular is an item the Trust has been pushing for for a number of years now as its deterioration has been observable on a near monthly basis.

A restorer who specialises in the conservation of sandstone materials such as of which the arch is made of will be starting work soon under the management of the Gibraltar Museum.
